About Wendy
Wendy lives in Keystone Heights, Florida with two golden retrievers and four cats. She has 3 grown children and one beautiful granddaughter all of whom share her passion for art and a legacy of creativity and design. “I grew up with an artistic mother – Janet Raser Faunce – who was a notable portrait painter, graphic designer, and musician. I couldn’t help but absorb her wonderful perspective on composition, balance, decorative arts, and color.” Wendy approaches every project as a complete composition, and a work of functional art.
Johnson also loves the outdoors — skiing, gardening, building things, reading, and traveling. With degrees in zoology and botany, she’s dabbled in landscape and garden design and is committed to environmental stewardship. “I try to encourage a minimal footprint with design and product suggestions that carry a responsible and positive impact.”
Despite her love of landscape, her passion for architecture and interiors has been with her since she was in grade school. She draws inspiration from nature still, in concert with classical design, working with clients to create home spaces that feel alive. “As a designer, I am rejuvenated and inspired by all things outdoors – sunlight and color (the full spectrum from grays to brilliants) and infinite textures and smells of nature. “ While looking at each project as a unique composition I strive to incorporate an essential balance of color, texture, light and proportion to create spaces that my clients are inspired by and love to live in.”
When not designing, Wendy participates in webinars, seminars, and conferences to keep up with new developments in architecture, interior design, materials, and technology. She has presented kitchen and bath seminars for the general public in home shows and continuing education programs, and recently for design students at Boston Architectural College. Wendy has been an avid industry participant both in local chapters of The National Kitchen and Bath Association throughout the US and as judge in local home show competitions, and is a recipient of many national and regional design awards.
