This farmhouse was built as a retirement home in south Texas, planning for visits from extended family and friends. The man of the family loved baking wanted his own baking center on one island. The other island is a buffet serving area. The cooking hearth is made of Texas sandstone with a tumbled marble backsplash. Cabinetry is chestnut hickory for an elegant rustic look. Microwave and double ovens are grouped and placed at accessible height for all. Main clean up area has a custom copper farm sink and painted plank backsplash.
