Contemporary Kitchen Embraces Outdoor Views

A contemporary home set in the hills outside Hartford, CT  takes in all the surrounding natural beauty. The strong linear character of the architecture is softened by curving lines of countertops and sensuous cherry cabinetry doors with softly curved integrated pulls. Granite countertops are earthy and indestructible. Notice the countertop windows below wall cabinets, which give an uninterrupted view of the woods behind the house. Small appliances in the baking center below the microwave are hidden so as not to distract from the character of the architecture and to maintain an uncluttered space.
