This kitchen in a contemporary ski home in Vermont is designed to be open to the living/dining area and makes for a very workable space for a young multi-cook family who enjoy entertaining their extended family and friends often. It has a sophisticated country feeling, enhanced by the multi-colored slate backsplash and Vermont-quarried black slate countertops. Pantry cabinets were designed as an unfitted furniture piece with a center island to match featuring a cherry countertop with a prep sink. A bar/entertainment area is close to the living/dining area and to the stairs leading to a lower-level indoor pool and sauna. Two under-counter refrigerators, side by side, are within quick reach of the dining and entertainment areas.
