A "Maine Cottage" kitchen

The owner of this kitchen/family room addition in an older home in Westport, CT, loves the clean lines, whimsey, and strong colors of the Maine Cottage brand, and Wendy was happy to be chosen by her to work with MC, as the first designer to showcase its new line of cabinetry. The owner wanted to integrate the kitchen with the rest of the house, which also has that cottage feeling, underscored by a strong use of color. It needed to be its own space but open to be the family room. A small island acts as divider between the rooms and provides a valuable working surface and seating for two. An old-fashioned farm sink and white marble countertops complete the cottage look.
