One foot in the past and one in the future In this historic house dating from the early 1800s, a kitchen was designed to be both up to date and to blend with the age of the house. The back entrance was upgraded to become more functional as well as more attractive. The entry now flows naturally into the kitchen and provides additional storage space and a utility room. Walls were removed to create a larger kitchen/family dining area and to house an antique piece of furniture that serves as a pantry. Light green painted cabinetry with flush inset styling and bead-board paneling is certainly consistent with the age of the home. Even though small in dimension it has lots of seating and counter space, making use of every inch of available space with lots of organized and accessible storage. |
